Great pizza and Crico Sticks. Fast delivery, too!

Man O Man, the pizza is amazing! And the Cricos breadsticks are a must!! Cheese, cheese, and more cheese. They do pizza right. Crust tastes fresh, and Husband says the meatball sub is just pretty great too. We'll so be back!!

  • Trent N.

Its good quality pizza and will fulfill that pizza craving, and does so pretty easily. This place has a surprising great taste for the pies and the cheese sticks are so delicious. I will be ordering here again next time I'm in town.

We were in the mood for some good pizza and this place definitely hit the spot. We got the pepperoni bacon & jalapeño pizza and it was perfect! Even my 3 year old inhaled her pieces! We'll definitely be back!!

We got the food, didn't get any napkins, utensils nothing. Opened the breadsticks no marinara sauce, which was stated it came with on the menu. Called, they said they would send someone with utensils and the sauce... Needless to say I never did get them, so 2 wasted orders of breadsticks, because they were nasty without it. So 52$ plus tip wasted! No wonder they don't list the prices on any menu they advertise! Lastly called the next day and was treated like total crap by the "manager" that wasn't on duty, because you know it wasn't his fault... And the story needed verified so the manager that was there would call back, 1 week later still waiting!! Not that it matters to them but NEVER AGAIN!

Do you need a dose of good old fashion cheese, fat, and meats? Crico's does it right. I was really pleasantly satisfied with our order of a small Crico's special pizza and a 12-inch meatball sub. Everything just hit the spot. The best part about Crico's is that everything was very flavorful (in a heart attack way) and they did not skimp on the meat or cheese. The pizza was thick, almost an inch thick, with a thin crust that held up, the middle layer was composed of the meats, and the top layer was thick perfectly melted cheese. The meatballs of the sub were cooked through and tasted deliciously of parmesan. The bread for the subway was solid and not falling apart, toasted, and had that good layer of butter brushed on it. I must admit that I had no expectations coming to Crico's, and I'm glad that I didn't. It made everything so much better. They also have delivery. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food that you get, and I would order this for delivery any day over the regular chain pizza restaurants.

The store was somewhat challenging to find (next to Seafood Basket). I picked up a few pizzas to take back to the vacation home. The meat and supreme pizzas are amazing!

VERY good food. Came in to town from Dallas, TX on vacation. This place came in clutch, high quality food for the right price.

Cheap and satisfying, no frills, pizza buffet. A great place to take your kids.

  • Ingrid H.

Good and cheap! We had the lunch buffet which included pizza, salad and drink. It was a great deal. Was the pizza great, no. However, it was good. The staff was super friendly and there were lots of choices on the buffet. I would like to try one of their pizzas made to order, bet it would great.

Don't judge this place from the outside. This is an awesome pizza place. The best pizza place I've been too in years. High quality cheese with a made from scratch crust. This will be our go to restaurant in Gulf Shores in the future. Hats off to the owner for getting it right.

  • Cory E.

Missed the lunch buffet so we ordered a large and some cheese garlic bread. The garlic bread was good but only 4 small pieces for my family of 5....the pizza more than made up for it though. No frills at a low price...could probably use some new tables and losing the carpet, but we'll be back if the pizza stays the same!

Whipped in there with 2 families totaling 9 people. They were great, and I was very pleased with the pizza. Simple, easy, good and cheap. Love this place.

  • Dana H.

Great pizza and wings for a great price. The cheese pizza was especially good. Highly recommend!

  • Liz W.

Great pizza and cheese sticks. Delivery was quicker than we thought, less than an hour. Ordered the Special and although the jalapeños were spicy, they added a great flavor. Kids had plain pepperoni and sausage. Ordered too much but had for breakfast yumm. Will order again for sure.

Crico's is a great place to come and grab a quick bite on your way to or from the beach, it's especially ideal for a mid-day pick-me-up as it's quite close to the boardwalk. Crico's offers a variety of food that is appealing and versatile to everyone - a great option if in a large group or have kids; the menu offers pizza, wings, subs, salads, there's even a fairly affordable buffet option (about $7 including tax for lunch and dinner). We ordered the 12" 'Meatball & Cheese' sub ($6.99) - which the cashier kindly just gave us the two 6" subs for the same price (6" subs would've been $4.99 each) and a side of garlic bread with marinara sauce. Unfortunately, I wish I had known that the subs also come with a side of garlic bread - I would've ordered a different side, but luckily their garlic bread is really good: light, buttery, crispy, and sprinkled with grated cheese - we happily indulged on all portions provided. The subs were pretty decent, the meatballs were well cooked and flavorful - overall a fairly straightforward meal for a decent price!

Ordered and they delivered in less than hour at dinner time. Pizza was hot and very good. Will order again for sure.

  • Chris B.

Pizza was good. The reason so low is there are ppl running around barefooted. Going up the the pizza buffet and to the salad bar with no shirts on. They are leaning over the food to get to the food. I know we are in beach country but coming from the Midwest we just wouldn't do stuff like that.

  • Josh C.

We ordered a large supreme and a ten inch cookie after arriving out our condo late at night after a twelve hour drive. The pie was great, way better than dominoes and the cookie was more homemade than we expected and very, very good.

  • Meghan R.

The pizza was outstanding!! Super fast for pickup even though the place was busy. The meatball sub was delicious. Parking was not great so be prepared to circle a bit. Other than that would definitely go back!

  • Lee J.

Awesome! ! Got the gricos small special and cheese sticks. They delivered to Orange beach. We were on the beach, they called when got here and we had pizza and beer on the beach, was great. Definitely will have again and again.

    (5)
  • Moira R.

The meatball sub here is amazing. I think that the sub was made on buttery garlic bread. So soft! So buttery! So meaty! So good! The pizza is excellent too. We got the house special and it was excellent. The meat is piled onto the crust with the cheese on top. I will definitely be back!

    (5)
  • Linda M.

It took too long and they didn't bring the cheese and peppers I asked for. It is probably the best I have ever had; it was worth the wait and it didn't need cheese and peppers.

  • Charlie B.

Good hometown pizza. Would definitely order again when in the area. Ready in under 30 minutes on a Friday night. Had a meat pizza, a supreme and a favorite - that last one was a pretty spicy pizza.

  • June K.

Awesome pizza buffet! Amazingly yummy pizza, great selection. Very busy place and we did have to wait a bit on fresh pies, but soooo worth it. We are making a point to eat here again before leaving town.

  • Adam C.

No thanks. Either we picked a bad day or gulf shores vacationers just don't know good pizza. It starts with the dough, we got breadsticks to give it a fair chance. Although topped with parm cheese and looking a bit greasy, they lacked really any flavor at all. Very bland dough makes for lackluster pizza. Also got the meatball sub and Italian sub. Honestly we had a few bites and decided not to finish the meal. One of the biggest disappointments of the trip for me, had better pizza at two other places neither of which were actually pizza places.

Great pizza and fast delivery, I was told an hour for delivery and it arrived in 35 mins Glad I called them

  • Chris R.

Not the greatest pizza (I'm from Chicago), but for a pizza buffet at only 6 bucks with a drink? Yeah, really good. There's a variety of pizza's at the counter with a couple different breadsticks and dessert pizzas, and a simple salad bar. It's a small place but big enough for families with some added outdoor seating. A great spot for a quick pizza lunch in the middle of town while you're out souvenir shopping or mini-golfing. Would eat there again!

Late night reminiscing of last year's trip to Gulf Shores and the upcoming one in May brought me to Crico's page! I have sworn by this little place for years! As you may know from my page I'm pizza obsessed, I even have a bucket list of pizza restaurants and ones I've been too. Crico's has got to be one of my favorite pizza buffets I've been to thus far in life. And although I know there will be others in my future of travel (hopefully), it takes the gold for now. The pizza is not too greasy like you'll find in some of the little hole in the wall pizza buffets. Good sauce, not too sweet or savory. They don't create any super strange combinations, which I'm normally drawn to, so I just try a little of all the classics (pepperoni, cheese, not a big fan of the sausage). They also have pasta and breadsticks. The inside of the restaurant is small-ish, and can get pretty busy. If I'm remembering correctly, they have outside seating under an awning. Fairly cheap as well so it would probably be a good bet for a family, big group and kids. No matter if I'm with friends or family, I have made it a personal tradition to stop here on the last day of vacation after checking out of the condo. It's definitely a cheap local spot that I look forward to after days of filling up on seafood. For any of you that become fans like I am, they sell t-shirts. Going to try to get one this year because they've been out of a couple sizes this past summer. They're doing things old fashioned here, just down right good on a budget! 5 stars in the rankings of pizza buffets :-)

Crico's pizza was the best food on a 6 day trip in Gulf Shores. After not being able to find good sea food we decided to try our chances on pizza. Crico's came to play ball and got a home run. The pizza was hot, fresh ingredients, crunchy crust, and finally we had a decent meal in Gulf Shores. The price of the pizza is very reasonable. My advice - enjoy the beach and grab pizza.

Service is a little abrupt, but great food! Breadsticks, chicken salad and pizza are awesome.

Tasty pizza and friendly staff. Laid back and nice after a day at the beach. Definitely recommend this place for pizza. Try the Crisco breadsticks too.

Excellent pizza! We had the food delivered to our condo. The driver was fast and our order was hot and accurate. This is the way to go if you want to stay in for the evening.

What can I say... we've eaten here 2 out of 3 days that we've been here.. food is fantastic, very affordable, staff are cute and spunky. . The food is just fresh and hot and there is something about that cheese...yummy! !!

  • Brian C.

Great choice to get something other than overpriced, poorly served seafood. Don't let the inside fool you this is a diamond in the rough. Try the lunch buffet as well.

  • Eric M.

Great little place. $7.69 gets you all you can eat buffet with a drink at lunch and a friendly staff.

    (5)
  • Mandy V.

This place is cheap and good! Salad, pizza, dessert pizza, spaghetti. The buffet is like $6.99 but it includes a drink so if you are low on cash you will get the most for your money here! I really enjoyed the food. It's not fancy but it's fun! Loved sitting outside in the sun!

  • Charity A.

Delicious and fast! Called in for delivery on a Friday night, was told it would take 45 min to an hour, but it only took about 20 min. Will definitely order again when we are back in the Gulf!

  • Derek E.

A must have for the pizza goers! Start of with the bread stick dippers, and then get you one of their hand tossed pizza pies! Stay Away from the Mushrooms as they are canned but everything else is great! And don't let the atmosphere fool you, it only gets better from their!

  • Laurel S.

We ordered 3 pizzas to go our first night at the beach. It only took about 30 minutes and the pizzas were great and reasonably priced.

  • Chuck E.

Right on the strip. We sat on the porch. Tables and chairs are pretty much the plastic fare from a dollar store. However, it was a nice break from the seafood. Casual environment we came in, sat in our swimsuits and were comfortable. Kids enjoyed the pizza and it was very affordable. If you've been a the pool and beach all day and just want to grab dinner without a lot of fuss Crico's is a good choice.

Pizza .... next to the beach.... :) Great Selection, Great buffett. We love the place and will go back every time we hit the Gulf Shores area.

Fantastic pizzas and submarine sandwiches. Reasonably fast delivery. I don't know what else they have on their menu but I can't wait to eat their food again. Of many of the places we ate around the Gulf Shores area, this was great delivery pizza. I can't remember having better delivered pizza.

  • Katherine L.

Read the reviews online and decided to give it a try after a long drive in on a Friday night. There was no wait! Don't let the interior fool you, the pizza and cheese sticks were amazing!

  • Monica J.

Perfect for our family of 8 on vacation. Reasonably priced, all-you-can-eat/drink, YUMMY pizza, cheese bread, dessert pizza and salad bar. The staff was really friendly, saw many locals eating there which is always a good thing. We will return on our next trip to Gulf Shores!

This is a good place to go after spending the morning on the beach and you have a van full of hungry kids. Pretty good pizza buffet, 6.99 for adults including a drink. The kid price is prorated which is always nice. The pizza was good but the cheese bread was awesome!

When my friends graduated college in May 2011, we thought there was no better way to celebrate than to go to our first music festival. Alas, we made the 18 hour journey by car from Philadelphia, PA to Gulf Shores, AL for the second-annual Hangout Music Fest. The entire week, we feasted on everything from Burger King to Publix Subs to Alabama seafood, but we ended up craving something we know and love all too well: pizza! We were willing to go anywhere for it, and we luckily stumbled upon Crico's, which was very convenient to get to from the festival. At first I was a little nervous... not only had I never heard of a pizza buffet, but I also knew that the Northeast is known for such a delicacy, and that it would be hard to compete. And while I maintain that this pizza was not Philly/NYC pizza, it was still damn good. We ordered a large plain pie, a veggie pie, and cheesy bread (which was basically white pizza cut into rectangles), and all of it definitely satisfied our cravings. Good cheese to sauce ratio, not under or overcooked, and very inexpensive considering how much food we got! My only complaint would be the thicker crust, but that was small potatoes compared to all the benefits. If we ever venture back down to Gulf Shores, I'm sure we'll hit this spot up. Until then, I'll still be trying to figure out what a "dessert pizza" is :)

  • Trenton G.

This pizza was fantastic... They didn't have a wait at all, which is probably because of the fact that they share a building with the shrimp basket, and not many people come to the coast to eat pizza. But this was fantastic pizza... Not the cheapest pizza ever, but definitely not the most expensive either. It's a nice change of pace if you're tired of seafood every night. I'll be back on my next trip

Delivery was fast and friendly. Pizza looked real good but it lacked flavor. Would not recommend.

  • Alex T.

Good surprise when we arrived for lunch. Buffet between 11AM and 3PM. For 6.50 plus tax. Choice (half a dozen pizza pans), fresh and tasty. Dinks included. There even were desserts (choc cookies and fruit tarts/pizzas) and lettuce bar. Pretty decent. Will definetly come back.

Its my first time down in Gulf Shores and I was in search of a pizza joint to satisfy the families taste buds. Doing a search of Yelp helped narrow down some spots, but the lack of information and menus for the local places was putting me off. Eventually we settled on Crico's and it was the right choice. We placed a to-go order of two large pizzas and cheese sticks and it did not disappoint. The order was ready in less than fifteen minutes! You know when you have a good pizza is when you pick up the slice out of the box and its all grease below. The pizzas had great taste, not like those franchise places, but the dipping sauce for the cheese sticks was bland. Even the price was fairly decent. The only real con I can think of is its location. Its hard to get in and out of the place with it being near the intersection of Gulf Shores Parkway and Perdido Beach Boulevard. Try Crico's the next time you are in Gulf Shores, even the locals recommend it!

We decided to go back to Orange Beach this year for our family vacation. We of course had already decided to go back to Crico's for the lunch buffet. It was the best deal of all the restaurants we went to the whole week. The buffet is $6.99 and includes your drink. The buffet itself has a small salad bar, some pasta, pizza and dessert pizza. If you have ever been to CiCi's or Stevie B's, it puts there pizza to shame. May i also be as bold to say it was the best food we ate all week, besides Franco's Italian restaurant in Orange Beach. The only complaint if any for this restaurant is please spend some money on updating your seating and fixtures. I will definitely be going back here again.

  • Dustin R.

Tasty freaking pizza! Went just before close and they were able to whip up a couple of pizzas and they were still bomb! It was a lil more pricey then pizza back home but everything here is higher. I'd like to see a few more topping choices but outside of those two minor deals Ive no complaints. :-)

After traveling 10 hours the last thing we wanted was to cook or even get dressed to go out. Ordered pizza for 9 people late Saturday afternoon. A little slow getting food to our condo but it was Saturday. Pizza was great. Everyone liked it & was pleased with my choice. Will order next time in Town.

I Loves it :) Best pizza joint in town , mmm mmm mmm , You WILL Love it ! Buffet pizza FTW ! Be here before 1 ish to avoid the insane crowds and mobs but enjoy their delicious pizza's , wether your doing their buffet or ordering specific off the full menu your going to enjoy , rest assured

  • Michelle D.

Pizza was very good! Not a lot of sauce - which is how we like it. Toppings were all very fresh and they were very generous with them too. We ordered 5 large pizzas and a salad and the bill was $62. Very quick to have ready too! All pizzas have hand tossed crust - so if you want wafer thin crust this isn't for you. Definitely recommend!!!!!

  • Marshall M.

It's ok not the best but good. Little greasy but it will suffice.

    (4)
  • Dewayne J.

great pizza. the ingredients come all the way out to the crust with little crust remaining. I noticed little things like that. big chain pizza places give less ingredients. Good prices compared to everything else in town. You wont be disappointed. Its a good change from the chain pizza places. I will absolutely order again next time I visit the beach.

I've been going to this place for a good ten years. It's always the same, and it's always delicious.

  • Jeff B.

Cricos has great pizza and friendly service. We had pizza from Crico's multiple times in our week at Gulf Shores and we liked it a lot. If you want pizza without sauce, order the cheesy breadsticks. My family loved them and for a dollar more, you can add a topping. We will be back again and again. We returned on our 2012 Gulf Shores Beach Trip and Crico's was every bit as tasty. I can't imagine travelling anywhere near the Alabama Gulf Coast without stopping in for a pie at Crico's!! Makes me want to go today, but I am 100s of miles away in Texas.

  • Christin C.

Cricos is a local pizza joint at the beach. Their pizza dough is not to thick and not to thin. Great consistency. Great distribution of cheese and toppings. I had Cricos favorite, which is a meat pizza with 4 different kinds of meat. It also comes with jalapenos but I substituted black olives for those. I enjoyed the pizza and will definitely be back for more whenever I am at the beach and craving something different from poboys and seafood.

Great pizza with lots of toppings. Not fancy and very laid back (perfect for after a day on the beach).

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
